ATTENTION: ALL C.S.M.L.A. MEMBERS &TRADERS
We are relocating the Winter Convention to another area.
Winter Convention 2009 will be held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Event Center in
Castle Rock, Colorado, February 20th, 21st and 22nd.
We have inspected the building, and find it “awesome”! It is big enough to accommodate all of
our needs, including having the “Awards Banquet” in the same area, classrooms and meeting
rooms are conveniently located, PLUS the ceiling is high enough to set up a tipi (or 3).
We will be able to set up Friday after 8:am, and be open for trading by NOON, and stay as late
on Friday as you want, (however the flier states – open ‘till 9:pm). There are 2 big overhead
doors, so we can pull into the building to unload, and then pull back out. No vehicles allowed in
the building after NOON on Friday. Traders can still set up after that, they just have to cart it in,
but there will be plenty of helpers with carts and wagons. On Saturday, trading hours will be 9:am
‘till 5:pm, closing for happy hours (cash bar), and the Awards Banquet.
Flying Horse Catering will cater the dinner, and there will be an out-of-pocket expense as the
prices vary. (More details will come later). On Sunday trading hours will be 9:am ‘till 4:pm,
(we can stay later, but) we have to be out of the building by 9:pm.
There is also an area for camper trailers, motor homes, pop-ups… for your convenience, and
nearby hotels. Campers on site can stay over Sunday night if needed.
The building has drop cords for electricity, Internet access, and phone modem if needed. There
will be a concession stand for breakfast and lunch, and for refreshments.
Some rules that we will have to adhere to are: No Pets inside the building, and no food, drinks or
coolers are to be brought in, (sorry).

Thank You All, hope to see everyone at the “new” Winter Convention in February.
